(LOS ANGELES)—Robert Auerbach, founder and CEO of HighJohn Records, LLC, has announced
that Kim Wilson, co-founder of the Fabulous Thunderbirds and highly respected harmonica
player/singer/songwriter, will join the Floyd Dixon/Pinetop Perkins/Henry Gray Blues
Piano Summit on June 1 and 2 in Phoenix at the Rhythm Room. The two-day, four show
event will be recorded and released by HighJohn in a deluxe CD/DVD package later
this year. Kid Ramos, former guitarist with the T-Birds will serve as band-leader
and will co-produce the album with the Rhythm Room’s owner and respected musician/DJ,
Bob Corritore.

and a supporting cast of blues veterans including bassist, Larry Taylor (Canned
Heat, Big Joe Turner), drummer Richard Innes (Lightning Hopkins, T-Bone Walker),
pianist Fred Kaplan (Hollywood Fats), tenor saxophonist, Steve Marsh (Lyle Lovett,
Brian Setzer Orchestra), baritone saxman, Troy Jennings (Kid Ramos, Candye Kane)
and trumpet legend and longtime Floyd Dixon accompanist, Joe Banks.
Clarke Rigsby, of Tempest Recording, who has worked with Paul McCartney, The T-Birds
and Bo Diddley will join Ramos and Corritore as part of the production team. Wavebase’s
John Gibson (a collaborator of Rigsby’s) will film the event.
